Yes, there really is free money available to first time home buyers who meet certain income requirements. And hey, don't just assume you can't qualify because you make to much or too little! You may be pleasantly surprised!

Here are a few programs to check into:

City of Largo "Sold on Largo" -  Sold on  Largo is Largo's popular first-time homebuyer assistance program. If you're buying a home for the first time, and your income is within certain predetermined guidelines, Largo can provide you with both down payment and closing cost assistance of up to $35,000. Best of all, this loan carries 0% interest, and doesn't require repayment until you (a) sell the home, (b) pay off or refinance your first mortgage, (c) are no longer owner-occupant in the home, (d) or after 20 years.
